Policies & Procedures

Class Arrival/Departure
Classes are 90 minutes, once a week in my home located at 147 Big Valley Rd, Folsom, CA 95630. As a courtesy to the neighbors, please park in the driveway if possible. Drop your child off and they may come straight in through the front door. No need to knock. If the door is locked, it is still too early to begin class and children may wait on the patio.  First-time parents may enter at the first class for an introduction and tour. Children will be dismissed outside to the patio for pick up.

Billing
Waitlisting is FREE. You won’t be charged until after you’ve been notified of an available spot.

Tuition for a month of class including materials is $160/student per month ($40/class)
Out of Pocket:  Tuition will be billed via email invoice which you can pay online with credit card or debit ACH. You may also Venmo me @Elisse-Tweet.
Homeschoolers: REQUEST YOUR INVOICE FROM YOUR HOMESCHOOL IN ADDITION TO SUBMITTING THIS FORM AND IN ADVANCE OF ATTENDING CLASS. But please WAIT until you have confirmation there is class availability before requesting a voucher.

Absences, Vacations & Makeups
For scheduled absences, I offer pro-rating of $40 per class with notification in advance of billing. Notify me of any need for pro-rating before that month’s classes begin.  If you are going to miss a class due to illness,  I  appreciate notification. The week of October 27-31 is available for up to ONE makeup class per student. I do not offer class credits.

House/Studio Rules
Since the art studio is also my home, students will be limited to the art studio room and bathroom. Outdoors, other rooms, and upstairs are off-limits. There is a bathroom and cups for water so you do not need to send snacks or drinks.

Children’s Clothing
Due to pastels’ high pigment and dusty nature, your child’s hands and clothes will get messy! Don’t wear anything fancy, though stains should wash off.

Materials
Your tuition covers the high quality Rembrandt brand pastels and other materials used in class. Note that if your child graduates to watercolor you will be required to purchase those materials yourself so they have their own set to keep.

Fall 2026 Classes:

September 1-October 24
Classes Resume January 2027
Makeup Week: October 27-31
Note: Only 3 classes per month for Saturdays class (No Class 9/12, 10/3)
